I fell in love with the deep green, browns and peach colors on this hummingbird. I found this photo in an old book about birds, in a local thrift store. Since hummingbirds regularly visit my garden, I decided to create a little portrait. This is only available through Ghost Gallery in downtown Seattle until early January, 2026.

I fell in love with the deep green, browns and peach colors on this hummingbird. I found this photo in an old book about birds, in a local thrift store. Since hummingbirds regularly visit my garden, I decided to create a little portrait. This is only available through Ghost Gallery in downtown Seattle until early January, 2026.
This work was done on an 8” X 10” wood board. Materials used include vintage and used papers, buttons, baubles, fabric, paint, and ink. It’s sealed with a low-odor fixative. Ready to hang.
