Young Woman at Harpsichord

$95.00

This is the third of six works in the Musician series. It’s for anyone who appreciates antiques and has enjoyed hearing their loved one play piano. Inspired by the painter Jan Steen.

I was thinking about how important musicians were centuries ago. Of any kind. If you wanted to hear music, you had to play. It was temporary. I imagined this young woman performing for someone special in her life. She has practiced for months and now her music floats out like pearls.
